　　故事灵感来自于一次导演返乡出席祖母丧礼且受到民间传说“目连救母”的启发，叙述了女主角餐车厨师 Bonnie 在接手家族咖啡店生意后，意外发现已故母亲变成饿鬼，她与关系不好的父亲 Bobby 在拯救母亲的亡魂和家族咖啡店生意的过程中，重新认识了盂兰节的意义。
